First off before I complain about what happened I wanted to tell Isabella/My BFF....HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And Reno.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
Ok, time to explain. So My Mom, My Sister and I all went out to eat tonight. When we got tot he restaurant the host came over to us to ask us how many people eating. When she came over we told her three.
And she said "Alright so two adults and a children's menu." I almost freaked out on her. I hate when people call me a child! If you read my blog you know I'm much deeper then a child! When she said this is I said "Three adult menus!". I was angry because this is the second time this has happened this week! I'm pissed.
I'll admit I look young for my age, my face is child like and I'm very small. But it hurt all the same. I'm insulted to be called '12 and Under'. I am WAY over that age limit. Oh and when I'm out with my dad he goes along with the whole young thing to get a discount. It makes me furious.
I want people to start to see the complexity of me, and not the porcelain face. I know I'm small. I know I'm as white as snow. But there is so much more then what meets the eye. People just assume I'm a naive child, and don't see the true me.
Help me. If you know of anyways to make me look my age tell me. I'm tired of being the 'baby doll' as I've been called.

I was in the same boat as you we're and unfortunatly i dont have any advice except to just try and take it as a compliment..

ReplyDeleteUgh, I always used to have that problem also >.> When I was 12 somebody thought I was 8 XD Now people just think I'm a 'teenager' which encompasses a lot :P
okay, well im commenting these wayyy after they were posted, but i like reading your blogs. sometimes they extend on what we talk about one the bus ride home.
ReplyDeletewell, sometimes when people ask me if i want a childrens menu i just say thanks for thinking im small and dont eat a lot, but boy i am hunnngrrryy. hahaha than they just laugh along with me and say okay ill get your adult menu. (
(but sometimes i do like to get a childrens menu so i can draw pictures but i order off my moms menu.)
