Growing Up or Growing Down?

We all know what 'Growing Up' means, there's no need to explain that. But what does 'Growing Down' mean? To me I think of it like this...

To Grow Up you get mature, right? To be transformed into an adult mind. Though to Grow Down is the opposite, with age comes child-like antics. It like a tree, a normal tree grows straight up, but what is there was a tree the was different? Not just different because a nook or cranny, but completely outside of the norm? Should it be looked at any different? Should it be considered beautiful, or just a freak? Are you the upside-down tree? I am.

As a child I was shy and quiet, but as i got older I became loud and outspoken. It was as if I was born an 'old soul' and got younger to the point where I am today. I've come to realize it doesn't matter if I'm not the what people around me want me to be. I like being the outrageous girl I am.

I hope that I can pass this lesson on to you. It's alright to be the upside-down tree. I'm proud of who I am and who I will become. I will always be the girl who likes to play in the rain and mud. And play dress up and scream in public places for no reason. And smile every chance I get.
