My sweet little Erica came over to my Nana's house today. Normally I relax on Sundays, so I wasn't really in the mood to chase her around the room.
Erica of course said in sweet little baby voice, "Can we please go play?" I couldn't say no. But I did. I told her no, and Miss Erica pouted like most kids. I felt bad, but I haven't been having the best weekend and running around won't make it better.
She got mad at me and hid in the play room. I found her there and she pouted more. She told me that "If you ever tell me no again I'll do this again."This started a whole speech to her about having to understand that I can't play all the time because I get tired.
After she forgave me we went outside and played in the yard. She made me laugh a lot. We drew pictures, played hide and go seek, played tag, collected acorns, and had a mud fight.
Even if in the beginning I didn't want to do anything, by the end I was enjoying myself with Erica.
My Nana called me an angel for having the patients to play the same simple games over and over again. But I'm not the angel, she is.
So that was my day, nothing amazing, but everything perfect. If only these times could mend the rest of the weekend and the week to come.
